Mr Mark ClarkExecutive Chairman - B.Bus CA
Mr Clark has over 20 years experience in corporate advisory and public company management. Prior to joining Regis Resources Limited Mr Clark was the Managing Director of Equigold NL.
He joined Equigold in 1995 and originally held the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary and was responsible for the financial, administration and legal functions of the company. He was closely involved in the development and operation of Equigold’s projects in both Australia and Ivory Coast.
He was a director of Equigold from April 2003 and was Managing Director from December 2005 until Equigold’s merger with Lihir Gold Limited in June 2008.
Prior to Equigold Mr Clark held a senior position at an international advisory firm, providing financial and corporate advice to clients in the mining industry.
Mr Clark is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Mr Paul Thomas
Paul is a qualified Metallurgist with extensive operating and development experience gained in a career of over 25 years in the mining industry. During this time Paul has held a number of senior operations management and executive roles within Australian listed gold and base metal mining companies.
Most recently, Paul was part of the Senior Executive Management Team of ASX listed OM Holdings Limited. From 2007 - 2010 he was Managing Director of the operating subsidiary OM Manganese Limited with responsibility for the Australian operations including the Bootu Creek manganese mining operation. During this time, Paul was instrumental in the turnaround of the company’s Australian operations and oversaw the significant expansion of the production capacity and resource base. From 2010 – 2014 he was the OMH Group's Chief Development Officer, where amongst other projects he headed the execution of the development of the Company’s ferro-alloy smelting project in Malaysia. He was a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed iron ore, precious and base metals explorer Scandinavian Resources Ltd from 2010-2012.
Prior to these roles Paul held several General Manager roles at gold mining operations for Equigold NL (1996 - 2005) and Mount Eden Gold Mines Ltd (1995 - 1996) and the role of Chief Operating Officer at Wedgetail Mining Limited (2005 - 2007).
Mr Thomas has various regulatory and technical qualifications in mining, processing, management and finance. These include a Diploma in Open Cut and Underground Mining, a Diploma of Business and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment. He is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Senior Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Mr Mark OkebyDeputy Chairman and Non-Executive Director - LLM
Mr Okeby has over 25 years experience in the resources industry as a solicitor and as a director of listed companies. He was admitted to practice law in Western Australia in 1979 and holds a Master of Laws (LLM).
He was an executive director of gold producers Hill 50 Limited (1996-2003) and Abelle Limited (2003-2004) before both were taken over by Harmony Gold Ltd in 2002 and 2004 respectively, and was a director of Harmony Gold Australia Ltd until mid 2003. More recently he has been a non-executive director of Lynas Corporation Ltd (2004 -2005) and an executive and non-executive director of Metals X Limited (2004-2009).
Mr Ross KestelNon-Executive Director - B.Bus, CA, AICD
Mr Kestel is a Chartered Accountant and was a director of a mid tier accounting practice for over 25 years.
He has acted as a director and company secretary of a number of public companies involved in mineral exploration, mining, mine services, property development, manufacturing and technology industries.
Mr Kestel is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mr James MactierNon-Executive Director
Mr Mactier has had a distinguished career in banking, having been joint head of the Metals and Energy Capital Division of Macquarie Bank Limited for fifteen years until his retirement from the bank in April 2015. He has wide ranging experience in project and corporate finance, resource project assessment, equity investing, commodity and currency hedging and trading in the metals and energy sectors globally. Mr Mactier has established strong industry and government relationships in his high profile leadership role at Macquarie.
