Chief Operating Officer
Paul is a qualified Metallurgist with extensive operating and development experience gained in a career of over 25 years in the mining industry. During this time Paul has held a number of senior operations management and executive roles within Australian listed gold and base metal mining companies.
Most recently, Paul was part of the Senior Executive Management Team of ASX listed OM Holdings Limited. From 2007 - 2010 he was Managing Director of the operating subsidiary OM Manganese Limited with responsibility for the Australian operations including the Bootu Creek manganese mining operation. During this time, Paul was instrumental in the turnaround of the company’s Australian operations and oversaw the significant expansion of the production capacity and resource base. From 2010 – 2014 he was the OMH Group's Chief Development Officer, where amongst other projects he headed the execution of the development of the Company’s ferro-alloy smelting project in Malaysia. He was a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed iron ore, precious and base metals explorer Scandinavian Resources Ltd from 2010-2012.
Prior to these roles Paul held several General Manager roles at gold mining operations for Equigold NL (1996 - 2005) and Mount Eden Gold Mines Ltd (1995 - 1996) and the role of Chief Operating Officer at Wedgetail Mining Limited (2005 - 2007).
Mr Thomas has various regulatory and technical qualifications in mining, processing, management and finance. These include a Diploma in Open Cut and Underground Mining, a Diploma of Business and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment. He is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Senior Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary
Kim is a Chartered Accountant with significant experience in financial management and corporate advisory services, particularly in the resources sector. Kim has worked as a Company Secretary and Corporate advisor for a number of ASX and AIM listed companies focussing on capital strategy, debt financing, investor relations, financial reporting and corporate governance.
Kim joined the Company in June 2009.
General Manager Exploration
Jens has over 30 years experience in the global exploration and mining industry in Australia and Asia, mainly with WMC Resources Limited where he held a number of senior and executive positions including Exploration Manager Philippines, Regional Exploration Manager Southeast Asia and Africa Eurasia, and Divisional Exploration Manager of WMC’s Exploration Division.
He is a successful explorer being directly involved with several significant mineral discoveries including the Cave Rocks and Junction gold deposits at Kambalda, and during his time in the Philippines the world class Tampakan copper-gold deposit. He was also Manager of the West Musgrave nickel-copper-PGE discovery in Western Australia.
Jens has an Honours degree in Geology and Geochemistry from Adelaide University and a Masters in Mineral Exploration from Imperial College of Science in London.
Mick commenced as Projects Manager with the Company in May 2009 and has been responsible for the construction of the Company’s processing plants at the Moolart Well Gold Mine and the Garden Well Gold Mine as well as overseeing the construction of the Rosemont milling, crushing and pumping circuit.
Mick has over 25 years experience in various mining and processing industries throughout Australia and Africa. Prior to joining the Company Mick spent 10 years with Equigold NL and was instrumental in the construction of the Bonikro processing plant in Cote D’Ivoire.
General Manager Duketon Gold Project,
Tony joined the company in August 2009 as General Manager of the Duketon Gold Project.
Tony has over 20 years experience in the mining industry both in Australia and internationally working for Newmont, Equigold and Lihir Gold in a variety of senior management positions.
Myles commenced as Development Manager with the Company in May 2009 and has been involved in the feasibility study, finalisation of statutory approvals, construction and commissioning of all three operating mines at the Duketon Gold Project.
Myles has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Western Australian School of Mines and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from FinSIA. Myles is the holder of a Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency and has been working in the Australian mining and finance industries since 1995.
