The Garden Well and associated deposits are mined using conventional open pit mining truck and shovel methods. The plant design is based on a nominal 5Mtpa throughput rate utilising a two-stage crushing circuit, scrubber and single ball mill. The carbon in leach circuit is larger in capacity to enable processing of the Rosemont feed in slurry at a combined rate of approximately 7.5Mtpa.
Garden Well Underground
In FY24, Regis commenced the development of a new underground mining area at Garden Well Main.
When announced (ASX Announcement), Garden Well Main had a mining inventory of 3.2Mt at 2.8g/t Au for 295koz contained gold at a 2.2g/t cut-off grade, including a Probable Ore Reserve of 1.2Mt at 2.4g/t Au for 91koz. The remainder is Inferred Mineral Resources and Exploration Targets. When complete, scheduled underground ore mining rates will be up to ~900ktpa with a steady state annualised gold Production Target of 60koz to 70koz. The project Life of Mine (LOM) All-In Sustaining Cost (AISC) is estimated at $2,050/oz to $2,150/oz.
Drilling activities will continue to focus on extending Garden Well Main mineralisation and converting Inferred Resources into Indicated Resources within the Garden Well South area.

Garden Well OPEN PITS
Garden Well is one of the first major open pits developed within the Duketon belt, with mining commencing in September 2011. It was mined as a single, large-scale open pit and, together with several nearby satellite deposits, supported sustained production and cash flow for the Duketon South operations over many years. Ore from these sources provided consistent feed to the Garden Well processing plant and underpinned the long-term performance of the hub.
While open pit mining at Garden Well has now ceased, exploration across the broader corridor continues to focus on identifying additional large-scale, high-margin open pit material that could leverage existing infrastructure and extend the value of the district.
