Our focus continues to be placed on ensuring that we appropriately prevent, manage, and mitigate environmental impacts across our mining and exploration operations.
We are committed to understanding our actual and potential environmental impacts and ensuring that we implement measures that minimise harm at all levels across the Company, regardless of an individual’s role. This commitment is embedded in our workplace culture through training programs, formal polices, and operating procedures. By providing these resources we are able to achieve sound industry practice in environmental management.
To realise this objective, the Company ensures it:
- Complies with all applicable legislation and statutory conditions
- Applies a systematic approach to identifying environmental risks and employs practices to minimise environmental impact and prevent environmental harm
- Communicates and consults with all stakeholders
- Develops a culture of sound environmental practice within its workforce by providing information and training on environmental management

Dams & Tailings Management
Management of tailings and tailings dams is given paramount consideration in our safety and risk reviews, project development assessments, and land rehabilitation and mine closure planning and implementation.
Design, construction and management of Regis’ Tailings Storage Facilities are in accordance with the relevant state regulatory requirements and industry practice.
An inventory of all Regis’ Tailings Storage Facilities is updated annually, as part of Regis’ voluntary disclosure under the Church of England Pension Board and Swedish Council on Ethics for the AP Funds.
